Everyone needs a little bit of help sometimes or someone with lots of contacts and info to assist you.
One to one basically means a worker supporting you and your family in whatever way best suits you. If you are struggling with benefits or money management we can help or if your child’s behaviour is challenging we can give you some strategies and tips to manage it. We usually visit your home to do this but if you’re not comfortable with that we can meet at one of the Children’s Centres or at a neutral place like McDonalds (you’re buying the Big Mac!).
When we visit or meet, sessions usually last no more than one hour and can fit around your busy day. Time scales vary as sometimes you might only need help with a housing letter or getting a charity grant for furniture, on the other hand you may have problems with your children’s behaviour or may have things you want to sort out for yourself, which can take longer.
